Celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020, the U. S. Consulate General Kolkata in partnership with implementing partner Asian Confluence on Friday will launch the White House-led "Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE)" program.
AWE's maiden launch in India will be kicked off at 3 pm on Friday by Acting Consul General Monica Shie.
The initiative brings together 150 women entrepreneurs early-stage business owners from Nagaland, Meghalaya, Assam, Manipur, and Arunachal Pradesh.
The women entrepreneurs will be mentored and supported through this two-year project.
