Protest against rise in price of essential commodities in Karnataka

Dalit Sanghatane and Women Groups staged a protest against the rise in price of petrol, diesel, LPG and other essential commodities, in front of Nadakacheri in Shanivarasanthe.

The protesters raised slogans against the Central and state governments.

Dalit Sanghatane district convener D J Erappa accused the Centre and the state governments of following anti-people policies. The amendment to Land Reforms Act through ordinance is against the interest of the farmers.

The government is moving against the aspirations of the Constitution, he added.

Dalit Sanghatane Samithi president Vimala said that the rise in price of essential commodities have inconvenienced the common man.
